When the guards of the Ishmaelites pushed them, they left the delivery of the portions to the fathers of the world and continued to stand outside in their prayer.

And they say that at the sound of the teenager's shout, the fathers of the world were startled from their rest and were frightened: and why do they lament and fast on Purim? When they saw the parcel of food that was lying there, they were aware of the secret of the troubles and were awakened with great compassion for Israel's salvation. At that hour the judgment of that wicked man came out.
