When Ibrahim Pacha went up to the Land of Israel and said to go up to Hebron as well and to surrender, he saw on the way that the men of his army were very tired and told them to rest on Mount Eitam, which is near Solomon's Pools. The residents of Hebron heard about the arrival of the Fahha, gathered a large force, went to the place where the Fahha soldiers were stationed, attacked them and killed three thousand people.

He was very angry and vowed to attack Hebron and destroy its people until one. When this became known to the Jews, they were very anxious, locked themselves in the "courtyard" and called a day of fasting and prayer to God for salvation. And what were they amazed to see that when Ibrahim Faha came to Hebron, he stationed soldiers near the "Jewish courtyard" for protection, and made terrible judgments on the rest of the residents.

When they sought to know the meaning of this, it was learned that the ministers of Beit Farhi in Damascus, who came up with Ibrahim Faha, recommended their brothers the people of Hebron and Faha granted their request. In memory of this event, a holiday was established in Hebron for generations on the eve of Rabbi Av, no prayer is said on it, and it is called the "Ibrahim Pacha's Purim" day.
