Beit Nahum and Yehuda was built in 1998 as an addition to the Avraham Avino neighborhood.
The name of the building - "Beit Nahum and Yehuda" is in memory of Nahum Hoss and Yehuda Partosh who were murdered in 1995. The two were on their way back from Jerusalem to Hebron on route 160 and when they arrived near the glass junction, on the outskirts of Hebron, fire was opened at the bus, the two were killed and others were injured.
Nachum Hoss, 31 years old, lived in the Avraham Avino neighborhood with his wife and served as Rabbi Moshe Levinger's assistant, their warm home was open to everyone and everyone who stayed in their presence drew encouragement.
Yehuda Partosh, 41 years old, lived in Ramat Mamra (Kharsina) together with his wife and three children. Yehuda, who was a kind, quiet, cheerful and always smiling man, immigrated to Israel not long ago and worked as a plumber. Shortly after his death, their fourth son was born.
