On the eastern slope of Tel Hebron, among ancient olive trees, is the Avraham Spring, named after Avraham our father. This is a Shikva spring, which springs from a depth of 7 meters, and was active already in the time of the ancestors.

About a three-minute walk from the gate above Beit Romano, on the road going up to the west, through stairs and a narrow path, you reach a set of stairs that go down between stone walls to below the surface, and lead to the mouth of an underground cave, inside which is the spring pool.

The spring is an underground spring whose water is stored in an underground pool measuring 5x3 square meters. This ancient and beautiful pool is built in an arched shape, and contains clear and cold water, which is a pleasure to jump into and take a dip.

(It's important to inform the soldier at the S.G. Manadim post because they are monitoring you to see that you are coming back and that everything is fine with you. You can also request a military escort from the soldiers at the Manadim post. There is a military camera on the hill above and to the right that watches over the spring area.)
